Echo Loop – Privacy Policy

Echo Loop ("the app", "the game") is a puzzle-platformer for Android and iOS by Tyler Conley. This policy explains what information the app handles. In short: the app does not ask for or collect personal information such as your name, email or location, and it does not sell or share data for advertising. To find and fix crashes it uses Google's Firebase Crashlytics service, described below.

Information the app does not collect

No account or sign-in is required.
No advertising, analytics or tracking tools are included.
The app does not request device permissions such as location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage.

Information stored on your device

To let you continue where you left off, the app saves the following only on your device:

The player name you choose to type in (used for the high score table). You may use a nickname.
Your game progress: current level, completed levels, current score and the top-10 high scores.
Your sound on/off setting.

This data never leaves your device. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, it sends an anonymous crash report to Google Firebase Crashlytics so I can fix the problem. A report can include the crash details (stack trace), your device model, operating system version, app version, whether the app was in the foreground, and a randomly generated installation identifier. It does not include your name, email address, location or contacts. Reports are processed by Google; see Firebase privacy information. Crash data is used only to diagnose and fix bugs.

Advertising and purchases

The app contains no ads and no in-app purchases.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
